Biography

María José Rodríguez was born in Bogotá, Colombia, but shortly after her birth her family transfered to Ecuador and settled in the capital, Quito. In 2005 she travelled to Medellin, Colombia to pursue a five year fashion design program at the Colegiatura Colombiana. During her studies she also participated in a one year exchange program with the NABA academy in Milan, Italy. She also worked for the Colombian designer Hernan Zajar and the Ecuadorian photography studio Knockout Studio.
After completing her BA she returned to Italy to complete a masters course at the Politecnico di Milano in trends, textiles and technology. She currently lives and works in Quito, Ecuador.
